Right now, the British Museum, National Portrait Gallery, Royal Opera House and
Tate Galleries are all sponsored by BP.
Whether or not their sponsorship is renewed depends on how many of us raise our voices to object.
In return for contributing only a tiny percentage of each organisation’s income, BP gets desperately-needed credibility. This helps distract from its toxic activities around the world: a business plan that’s pushing us into climate disaster.
Our cultural institutions should not be promoting the fossil fuel industry. They should act responsibly, and be places where we can imagine a culture beyond oil.
Sign this petition to tell the UK’s most iconic cultural institutions to drop BP sponsorship.
